WHAT THEY SAY
Bonus SEIKO 5 SPORTS Automatic Strap Watch SNZG15J1 Mens
Love this watch, well built and decent reserve electric power, it hasn’t quit yet, mine is a little fast however, not a big issue.
This is a great entry into automatic wrist watches, the Seiko motion has an extended history of reliability.
Great watch that emerged promptly. It exceeded my expectations. Fit and end was beautiful. Well packed. The watch retains excellent time right out of the box.
A hi-tech, 23 jewels, programmed movement identifies the Seiko Automatic Sports and makes it its basic status. This analog watch is supported by 23 jewels; the hands are luminous and silver-toned while baton hour-markers add extra presence. The watch also shows day and resists normal water for up to 100 feet. An ideal watch for a round of beach volleyball, the silver-toned stainless hyperlink bracelet will hold it in place.
SEIKO 5 – this is of the “5” An excellent marketer had the idea in the 70ies: to be a SEIKO 5, the watch has to have the next 5 (five) features (thus the name SEIKO 5):
- Water resistant,
- Shock resistant,
Please be aware that some SEIKO 5’s are actually SEIKO 4’s, if the “Day” function is omitted, then the Caliber 7S25 can be used. The only real difference to the normally found 7S26 is the omission of the day wheel.
Also re-issues of SEIKO 5 Sports activities often use the 7S36 caliber. Again the 7S36 is similar to the most popular 7S26, yet it features 23 Jewels instead of the 21 Jewels in the 7S26.
Please note that these movements beat at a level of 21’600 bph (beats per hour) or 6 bps (beats per second).
As a contrast, an ETA 2824-2 beats at 28’800 bph or 8 bps. A Miyota 82xx beats at 21’600 bph.
Why should i refer to these three actions?
Because they’re found in probably 80% of all inexpensive automatic designer watches. A market show that is huge, yet challenged nowadays (2006) by a growing share of inexpensive China Made computerized movements An programmed watch (also known as a self-winding watch) is a mechanical watch, typically with a balance wheel escapement, whose mainspring is wound by the action of the wearer’s arm, rather than having to be wound manually every day.
Whereas a quartz watch is run by electricity, a mechanical watch is driven by the mainspring which must be rewound for the watch to keep time.
THE CASE AND CRYSTAL
For SNK followers who wish those watch cases were bigger, the delay is finally over. The SNZG15 measures a sturdy 42 mm which is 12 mm thick. Which means its dimensions are bigger than the old-style men’s designer watches, but is noticeably smaller than the outrageously huge designer watches you commonly see today.
The top case comes with a brushed end, as well as refined finish on the edges. The crystal is Seiko’s own hardlex crystal, which is extremely scratch resistant. It is also water-resistant up to 100 meters.
The dial design seems a little busy, though it does have a rather nice arrangement that makes everything still readable. The external band shows the visible numbered markings, while an interior ring provides armed service time. The day and date info is included at the 3 o’clock position.
The hour and minute hands are considerable with a pointy end, as the second hand is just a nice sliver. The dark dial offsets the hands and markers properly. The lume is excellent, as it glows brightly for 7 or 8 hours.
The automatic mechanised 7S36 watch movements is exact and reliable, with variances ranging from -20 seconds to +40 mere seconds a day. It doesn’t quite equate to the best Swiss and Japanese programmed movements, but for an basic level watch it’s more than sufficient.
It provides a whip rate of 21600 BPH, which means you don’t get the distinctive ticking from a quartz watch that may be annoying during the night when everything’s noiseless. There is a 40-hour electric power reserve and that means you may take it off at night without having to worry that it’ll stop working.
This is possibly the weakest hyperlink in the Seiko 5 SNZG15, and it’s really the key reason why the SNZG15 is a few us dollars cheaper than the Seiko 5 SNZG13. The 22 mm nylon strap can feel a little too hard at first, and you will need some time to break it in. It’ll get the job done well enough eventually though.
For some, the nylon looks quite cheap so it doesn’t match the silent appeal of the Seiko 5 SNZG15. But with NATO or leather straps you may easily buy to get and online, it’ll look much better.
PROS & CONS Bonus SEIKO 5 SPORTS Automatic Strap Watch SNZG15J1 Mens
Basically, what we have here is an entry level armed forces field watch, and it’s really rugged functionality and design are excellent.
The dial provides info quickly, and even at night there is no problem telling the time. The hands are brightly luminous at night, and it generally does not fade for most hours.
The precision is sufficient for most people.
The “provenance” (background), is nice, as it goes back to a youthful era when wrist watches such as they were worn on the field of struggle.
How big is the case is simply perfect for people that have bigger wrists, but even for regular wrists it doesn’t really look too large.
For the nylon strap disadvantage, for some that it is nice enough to wear as is. But for the most part, people don’t choose the Seiko 5 SNZG15 for the strap. You can easily change the strap to NATO or leather and which should improve its look even more.
WHY I SHOP AT AMAZON
Bonus SEIKO 5 SPORTS Automatic Strap Watch SNZG15J1 Mens -I put lots of time and work into choosing where to shop. I have favorite stores for groceries. I have favorite stores for clothes. I’ve stores I detest. And, of course, almost always there is online shopping.
Largely, there’s just Amazon.
I find myself at Amazon.com almost every day — even when I’m not shopping, I might be exploring prices, reading reviews, updating my account or just dreaming. There’s practically always something in my own cart, just waiting for a reason to officially place an order. It is the internet version of screen shopping.
In the end, I’m probably to make my final purchase with Amazon anyhow. Here are 7 explanations why it’s become my go-to store:
After years of researching prices and coming back to Amazon, I’ve finally recognized there are just some things they’ll always offer at the cheapest price. In fact, I have a couple of things I’ll only buy on Amazon. They also offer concealed price fits, where they’ll lower the price on items others are offering on sale.
Super Saver Shipping is my favorite. With a minimal minimum purchase of $25, I don’t believe I’ve ever payed for a delivery. It’s fun to own plans arriving on my doorstep without paying a penny for the service.
I remember when Amazon offered just catalogs, videos, and music. Now, is there anything they don’t sell? I’ve bought gadgets, playthings, groceries, clothes, and even furniture. It really is the main one place I could go to order anything we are in need of.
4.Easy Comes back:
I’ve only acquired to cope with their returns a few times, but it’s a very simple process. Complete the form through your account, print out the RMA and shipping and delivery label, then email the item back again. They’ll send a replacement or credit your accounts when it arrives. Super easy.
I take advantage of my wishlist not simply to provide ideas for birthdays & holiday seasons, but it also helps me keep track of things I want to buy when it suits into our budget. You can create general public or private wishlists and prioritize the items in order worth focusing on. So, when I’ve a Swagbucks gift card resting around or desire a filler item to reach free shipping, it is rather no problem finding something to add to my order.
6.Subscribe & Save:
This might be one of my favorite reasons for having Amazon. Several items, like groceries and diapers, can be bought as a registration. They’ll ship the product to your dwelling at regular intervals, on your routine at the current price — and present you a supplementary 15% off!
Here’s another favorite feature — when you preorder new release books, films or music, you get the cheapest possible price between your day you order and the day it is released. Your credit card is not costed before item ships, which is usually early on so that your anticipated product happens your day it comes out in the stores.
