Love this watch, well built and good reserve ability, it has not halted yet, mine is just a little fast however, not a big concern.

This is a great admittance into automatic wristwatches, the Seiko motion has a long history of stability.

Great watch that arrived on time. It exceeded my prospects. Fit and surface finish was beautiful. Well packed. The watch retains excellent time right out of the box.

A hi-tech, 23 jewels, computerized movement identifies the Seiko Automatic Sports and makes it its basic position. This analog watch is backed by 23 jewels; the hands are luminous and silver-toned while baton hour-markers add extra presence. The watch also shows night out and resists drinking water for 100 feet. An ideal watch out for a round of beach volleyball, the silver-toned stainless steel link bracelet will keep it in place.

Product description

SEIKO 5 – this is of the “5” A great marketer had the theory in the 70ies: to be always a SEIKO 5, the watch really needs the next 5 (five) attributes (thus the name SEIKO 5):

  1. Automatic,
  2. Water resistant,
  3. Shock resistant,
  4. Date,
  5. Day.

Please be aware that some SEIKO 5’s are actually SEIKO 4’s, if the “Day” function is omitted, then the Caliber 7S25 can be used. The one difference to the normally found 7S26 is the omission of the day wheel.

Also re-issues of SEIKO 5 Sports often use the 7S36 caliber. Again the 7S36 is comparable to typically the most popular 7S26, yet it features 23 Jewels instead of the 21 Jewels in the 7S26.

Please note that these movements conquer at a rate of 21’600 bph (beats each hour) or 6 bps (beats per second).

As a comparability, an ETA 2824-2 beats at 28’800 bph or 8 bps. A Miyota 82xx beats at 21’600 bph.

Why do I speak about these three motions?

Because they are found in probably 80% of all inexpensive automatic wrist watches. A market show that is huge, yet challenged nowadays (2006) by a growing talk about of inexpensive China Made automatic movements An automated watch (also known as a self-winding watch) is a mechanical watch, typically with an equilibrium wheel escapement, whose mainspring is wound by the motion of the wearer’s arm, instead of having to be wound physically every day.

Whereas a quartz watch is powered by electricity, a mechanised watch is driven with a mainspring which must be rewound for the watch to keep time.

For SNK followers who wish those watch situations were bigger, the wait around is finally over. The SNZG15 actions a solid 42 mm and is 12 mm thick. That means its proportions are bigger than the old-style men’s watches, but is noticeably smaller than the outrageously huge watches you commonly see today.

The top case includes a brushed carry out, as well as refined finish on the sides. The crystal is Seiko’s own hardlex crystal, which is incredibly scratch resistant. It is also water-resistant up to 100 meters.

The dial design seems a lttle bit busy, though it does have a fairly nice arrangement that makes everything still readable. The outer engagement ring shows the prominent numbered markings, while an inner ring provides military time. The day and time info is featured at the 3 o’clock position.

The hour and minute hands are substantive with a pointy end, while the second hand is merely a good sliver. The dark-colored dial offsets the hands and markers effectively. The lume is great, as it glows brightly for up to 7 or 8 hours.

The automatic mechanised 7S36 watch motion is correct and reliable, with variances which range from -20 seconds to +40 secs a day. It doesn’t quite equate to the best Swiss and Japanese programmed movements, but also for an entry level watch it’s more than sufficient.

It offers a beat rate of 21600 BPH, and that means you don’t get the specific ticking from a quartz watch that can be annoying during the night when everything’s silent. You’ve got a 40-hour electric power reserve so you can take it off during the night without having to worry that it’ll stop working.

This is perhaps the weakest link in the Seiko 5 SNZG15, and it’s really the key reason why the SNZG15 is a few us dollars cheaper than the Seiko 5 SNZG13. The 22 mm nylon strap can feel somewhat too hard at first, and you’ll need a while to break it in. It’ll get the job done well enough eventually though.

For some, the nylon looks quite cheap so it doesn’t match the noiseless appeal of the Seiko 5 SNZG15. But with NATO or leather straps you can certainly buy to get and online, it’ll look much better.

PROS & CONS seiko 5 sports military automatic

Basically, what we have here’s an entry level military services field watch, and it’s rugged operation and design are great.

  • The dial provides info commonly, and even during the night there’s no problem telling the time. The hands are brightly luminous in the dark, and it doesn’t fade for many hours.

  • The accuracy is good enough for most people.

  • The “provenance” (history), is nice, as it goes back to a youthful era when designer watches such as these were worn on the field of struggle.

  • How big is the truth is exquisite for people that have bigger wrists, but even for regular wrists it generally does not really look too big.

As for the nylon strap disadvantage, for some it’s actually nice enough to wear as is. But for the most part, people don’t choose the Seiko 5 SNZG15 for the strap. You may easily change the strap to NATO or leather and which should improve its look even more.

seiko 5 sports military automatic -I put a lot of time and work into choosing where to shop. I’ve favorite stores for groceries. I’ve favorite stores for clothes. I have stores I detest. And, of course, there’s always online shopping.

Mainly, there’s just Amazon.

I find myself at nearly every day — even when I’m not shopping, I may be exploring prices, reading reviews, updating my account or simply dreaming. There’s practically always something in my own cart, just looking forward to a reason to officially place an order. It is the internet version of screen shopping.

In the end, I’m probably to make my final purchase with Amazon anyway. Here are 7 reasons why it’s become my go-to store:

1.Low Prices:

After years of researching prices and returning to Amazon, I’ve finally recognized there are just some things they’ll always offer at the cheapest price. Actually, I have a few things I’ll only buy on Amazon. They also offer covered price matches, where they’ll lower the purchase price on items others are offering on sale.

2.Free Shipment:

Super Saver Delivery is the best. With a minimal bare minimum purchase of $25, I don’t think I’ve ever paid for a shipment. It’s fun to acquire packages arriving on my doorstep without paying a penny for the service.

3.One-Stop Shopping:

I recall when Amazon offered just catalogs, videos, and music. Now, is there anything they don’t sell? I’ve bought gadgets, playthings, groceries, clothes, and even furniture. It really is the main one place I could go to order anything we need.

4.Easy Earnings:

I’ve only experienced to cope with their returns a few times, but it’s a very simple process. Complete the form through your consideration, printing the RMA and transport label, then email the item again. They’ll send an upgraded or credit your accounts when it arrives. A breeze.

I use my wishlist not simply to offer ideas for birthdays & getaways, but it addittionally helps me keep track of things I wish to buy when it meets into our budget. You could create open public or private wishlists and prioritize the items in order of importance. So, when I’ve a Swagbucks gift idea card lying down around or need a filler item to attain free shipping, it is rather no problem finding something to add to my order.

6.Subscribe & Save:

This might be one of the best things about Amazon. Several items, like groceries and diapers, can be purchased as a subscription. They’ll ship the merchandise to your dwelling at regular intervals, on your routine at the current price — and give you a supplementary 15% off!

7.Preorder Guarantee:

Here’s another favorite feature — when you preorder new release books, videos or music, you get the cheapest possible price between the day you order and your day it is released. Your credit card is not recharged before item boats, which is usually early on which means that your anticipated product will come the day it comes out in the stores.
